Help Your Managers Become Empowered Leaders

Disempowered managers may:

  • Avoid conflict by not bringing up real issues to be addressed.
  • Focus on personal victory rather than team success.
  • Set unrealistic standards.
  • Expect superiors to have all the answers.
  • Wait for change rather than actively contributing to it.
  • Do quick fixes that don’t solve the real problem.

These behaviours consume time, energy, and innovative potential, hindering the development of a healthy team environment - leading to employee burnout, limited growth and deteriorating trust. This hinders succession planning and ultimately slows down your organisation's growth.

"Leadership is an inside-out job."

To lead effectively, managers must first understand and manage their inner world - their beliefs, assumptions, emotional state and outward behavior. Therefore, inner work is crucial to move towards a more creative, fulfilling and impactful leadership.

You want managers who:

  • Embrace a growth mindset, and engage in self-reflection to improve their leadership.
  • Build genuine connection with their teams via active listening, collaborating and coaching conversations.
  • Tackles challenges with clarity and confidence, making decisions that align with your organization’s goals and values.
  • Coaches their teams to bring about more self-awareness, collaboration and communication.
  • Solves problems proactively, finding impactful, sustainable solutions.

The Grounded Leaders Program (GLP) is designed to have a unique balance between "inner work" (growth mindset, self-awareness) and "action work" (critical thinking, problem solving, coaching). These are human capabilities that are strongly correlated with leadership and business performance.

The 5 day GLP starts with a 3 day intensive, followed by a 1 month gap for practice, and ends with a 2 day intensive.

GLP is meant to be complimentary to other more technical leadership programs. Here's how the curriculum is different from other leadership programs:

  1. Focusing on inner work that addresses underlying beliefs and assumptions.
  2. Creating time and space for application & practice.
  3. Facilitating a shift in mindset focused on purpose and growth.
  4. Holistic development to leadership that goes beyond technical skills.
"Grounded Leaders feel like they belong among others, not above them. You feel the change in your leadership." - Michelle Balatbat, GLP Alumni

What to Expect

The program is contextualized to your organization’s unique needs, creating a more immersive and impactful learning experience. It begins with a comprehensive Training Needs Analysis (TNA) to gain a deep understanding of your organization’s context, goals, and learner profiles. This process ensures the program is both relevant and effective in addressing your specific challenges.

Over the course of 30 hours of live instruction and self-paced activities, learners will build essential leadership skills, refine their critical thinking, and develop coaching techniques to enhance team performance and organizational success.

"Leadership is a kind of love, so when we lead we lead with care for others." - Fatima Gaviola, GLP Alumni

"I felt discouraged and unequipped as a manager, promoted right after maternity leave. Everything was new—I didn’t know the staff and felt judged on my management. But after training, my perception of myself as a manager changed."
